What does the Market Weather Light mean?It reads where SPY closed against its 200-day average and shows how the 1-2-3 record did in that kind of market: green for its best weather, red for its weakest, yellow in between. It never changes a call.

How does the 1-2-3 Position Sizer work?Put in your account size and how much of it you risk on a trade (1% is a common choice). It divides that by how far your price is above the call's stop (10% under the entry) and shows the shares, what the stop and the target would mean in dollars, and what one contract of the options trade cost.

When do the 1-2-3 alerts come?At 3:45 PM Eastern, before the close, the day a 1-2-3 triggers, so you can buy before the 4:00 bell. After the close a short note confirms it, and the daily recap comes about 4:40 PM.

What is in a 1-2-3 alert, and how do I read it?The chart, the stock and its trigger, the entry, the stop 10% under it, the target 5% over it and day 30, then the options trade and when to sell it, or "trade the stock".

What is the 1-2-3 options trade, and why a call? Each call comes as one options trade: the monthly call one strike in the money, about 90 days out. Sell it when the stock is 5% over the entry, or at the close on day 30. There is no stop on the option.

Why does an alert say "trade the stock" with no options play? That stock's options were trading too wide at the signal: the at-the-money call's bid to ask was more than 10% of its middle price. A spread that wide eats the trade, so that call has no options play.

Can I trade the 1-2-3 without options?Yes. Every call is a stock trade too: buy the stock, put the stop 10% under the entry and the target 5% over it, and sell at the close on day 30 if neither is hit.

What are the 1-2-3 exits? The stop 10% under the entry, the target 5% over it, and out at the close on day 30 if neither is reached. The first one reached ends the trade.

Why did my 1-2-3 trade close? It reached one of its three exits: the target 5% over the entry, the stop 10% under it (on a wick, during the day), or the close on day 30.

The stock was stopped out. What about my option? The option has no stop. It keeps its own exits: sell it when the stock reaches 5% over the original entry, or at the close on day 30, whichever comes first.

What does "setup forming" mean? Should I buy it?The three candles are in and the trigger is set at candle 2's high, but nothing is bought yet. It becomes a call only when the stock is over the trigger at 3:45 PM Eastern (or closes over it). Don't buy it early.

What does the "+3% on the way to +5%" update mean? Do I sell?It is a progress note: an open call closed 3% over its entry, on the way to the 5% target. Nothing changes: the stop, the target and day 30 stay as they were.
