Can I trade the 1-2-3 without options?
Quick answerYes. Every call is a stock trade too: buy the stock, put the stop 10% under the entry and the target 5% over it, and sell at the close on day 30 if neither is hit.
The details
The options trade is one way to take each call; the stock trade underneath it is the one our record counts (the record).
- Buy the stock when the alert lands, at 3:45 PM Eastern, before the close (the entry).
- Set a stop order 10% under the alert's entry and a sell limit 5% over it. The alert gives both prices.
- If neither fills, sell at the close on day 30. The alert gives the date.
The stock trade needs no options approval, so it works in an IRA or a cash account.
