What is the 1-2-3 options trade, and why a call?

1-2-3 Candle AlertsLast updated October 22, 2026
Quick answerEach call comes as one options trade: the monthly call one strike in the money, about 90 days out. Sell it when the stock is 5% over the entry, or at the close on day 30. There is no stop on the option.
The details

The contract

  • A call, because every 1-2-3 call is a buy.
  • One strike in the money: the strike just under the stock price. An in-the-money call moves more closely with the stock than a cheaper out-of-the-money one.
  • The monthly expiry about 90 days out (between 75 and 110 days): it has time to spare well past day 30, when the trade ends.
  • No spreads.

When to sell it

What the page shows

Each open call's card shows its contract, what it cost at the signal, its last close, and how it ended. We do not publish an options win rate: each play's own prices are on its card, and the stock's record is on the page (the record).

Prefer the stock? Every call is a stock trade too (trading it without options).
