What does the Options Recon score mean?
Quick answerEvery card is scored 0 to 100 on four things: how one-sided the money is, how much came in single large orders, its size, and how aggressive the strike is for the time left. 80+ is Extreme, 60+ Strong, 40+ Moderate; under 40 is never shown.
The details
The four parts
- One-sidedness: how lopsided the money is toward calls or puts.
- Concentration: how much of it came in single large orders.
- Size: the dollars, in total and against that ticker's whole options market.
- Aggressiveness: how bold the strike is for the time left. The heaviest part on purpose: a far out-of-the-money, short-dated bet can double the score, and a deep in-the-money "stock substitute" is cut way down.
The bands
- 80+ Extreme · 60–79 Strong · 40–59 Moderate. Under 40 is never published.
A high score says the bet is big, one-sided and bold. It does not say it will pay: Options Recon calls no trades (no win rate).
