Can I take a ticket the next day?
Quick answerYou can, but it is your call: the record only counts fills by 4:00 PM ET on the cook day, and by the next morning the price has moved. Ben takes them from 3:00 to 4:00 PM to stay consistent.
The details
- The record is scored on the ticket as served: filled by 4:00 PM ET that day at or under the debit.
- The next morning a ticket shows "Cooked yesterday: not a new entry today. Prices have moved since." It may cost more, or sometimes less if the stock dipped.
- If you do take it, check that it still passes the 43¢ Rule at your broker's price, and keep the same exits: the +40% GTC sell and the original last day.
For the clean version, use the 3:00 to 4:00 PM window (I'll miss 3:00 PM).
