What are the TriTrader+ targets and the stop? When do I take profit?
Quick answerThe conservative target is half the risk above the entry: take half off there and move the stop to your entry. The aggressive target is the triangle's height from the break. The stop is under the triangle's lower line, on a close.
The details
- Conservative target (TP1): half the risk above the entry. It sits close on purpose, so it is the one hit most often. Take half off and move your stop to your entry: from then on the trade cannot turn into a loss.
- Aggressive target (TP2): the triangle's height, measured up from the break (never less than 1.5× the risk): the full move the pattern points to.
- Stop: under the triangle's lower line, at least one average daily range away, hit only on a close below it.
The distance from the entry to the stop is the risk; every result is shown in % of the entry (what the % means). The TriTrader+ guide on its page has an example trade from triangle to result.
