How does the OCP indicator work?It is a two-candle pattern. The first candle has a long upper tail: its upper wick at least twice its body and longer than its lower wick. The second stays inside it. That arms the blue trigger line at the top of the tail; a later candle breaking over it is the Confirmed Buy, the blue arrow.

Where is the OCP stop and target?The TradingView script has none, so we tested them: the stop is the bottom of the pattern (the lower of its two candles' lows) and the target is three times the risk above the entry. Hold until one of them is reached.

How do I enter an OCP trade?With a buy stop at the trigger, the top of the tail. In testing, buying at the close of the break candle instead made much less, so the call is the trigger itself.

Which charts does OCP call: daily, 4-hour or 1-hour?The buys on the daily and the 4-hour charts. The 1-hour buys made nothing on the months held back and the sells lost everywhere, so they are drawn, never called.

What should I expect from OCP?About a third of the called buys reach the target, which pays three times what a stop costs. A daily trade takes about nine days (nine in ten within a month); a 4-hour one about five.

What does "Buy trigger armed" mean on OCP?Getting close lists the charts where an OCP pattern has armed its blue trigger line near price: a break over the top of the tail is the OCP Buy, and a buy stop there fills with it.

Does OCP call sells?No. The red sell triggers are drawn on the chart as on TradingView, but the sells lost on every chart in testing, so they are never called.

How do I install OCP on TradingView?OCP Unleashed → the TradingView tab → OCP Indicator for Tradingview: press the install link, add it to your favorites, then pick it from Indicators → Favorites.

What do the OCP settings on TradingView do?Minimum Wick-to-Body Ratio (2 by default) is how long the tail must be. Line Extension is how far the trigger line runs. Min Bars Between Signals is 10. The non-repainting option arms a setup only once the candle closes.
