What changed in Snap Trades 2.0? My old Snap levels look the same

Snap TradesLast updated October 27, 2026
Quick answerThe levels are drawn the same way. What changed is which breakouts are called (only stocks in play, the opening candle's side) and how long a trade is held (to the close). The script as written lost a little in every stretch we tested; this version held up on months it never saw.
The details

We tested the TradingView script's rules over 16 months of 15-minute candles on 24 stocks and ETFs: 2,880 versions, each picked on the first months and checked on months it had not seen.

  • Kept: the Snap Range, the 1.5 ATR stop and the 3 ATR target.
  • Added: a stock in play (1.5× opening volume) and the opening candle's side.
  • Changed: held to the close instead of noon.

Expect a small edge, not a big one: some weeks give back (only the best setups).
