Which timeframe is best for Green Light? Daily, 1-hour or 15-minute?
Quick answerThe 4-hour. We tested the 1-hour and 4-hour over two years on 30 stocks and ETFs: the 4-hour CALLs made a little on both stretches; the 1-hour made nothing on the months held back. It never lights on a daily chart, because VWAP starts over each session.
The details
- Called: 4-hour CALLs.
- Drawn: the 1-hour, and every PUT.
- Daily: a daily candle's VWAP is its own close, so it never lights.
Expect a small edge, not a big one (only the best setups).
