What is Discount Options? What is a "discounted" option?
Quick answerA scanner for call options whose price has been marked down hard during a temporary pullback in a strong, liquid stock. Cheap is not the same as discounted: it looks for fresh premium damage in a controlled pullback inside an uptrend, on contracts with real volume and time.
The details
What a setup needs
- An established, liquid stock, not a penny stock, thin contract or leveraged ETF.
- A temporary, meaningful pullback within an established trend.
- Fresh option damage: the call's premium marked down during that pullback. Old time decay alone is not a setup.
- A contract with usable premium, real volume and open interest, and enough time.
You decide whether a setup fits your plan: nothing is placed automatically.
